In the early ’90s, a writer called Christopher Anderson released an unauthorized biography of Madonna in which he revealed she had an impressive IQ of 140. Strangely enough, the “Like a Virgin” singer never tried to brag about her big brain, as she reportedly believed it could hurt her market appeal.
Known for her catchy pop tunes and somewhat wild spirit, Madonna doesn’t strike us a genius at first. But now we know why: she just doesn’t want everyone else to know how smart she is. Her career speaks loudly for her intelligence, though: in 2015, Rolling Stone named her as one of the 100 Greatest Songwriters of All Time.
