Maria Shriver’s career has spanned the entertainment and political worlds. She’s a former California first lady and a Kennedy family member. The founder of The Women’s Alzheimer’s Movement, a nonprofit organization, is also a journalist and an author. She was a member of the Democratic Party until 2011, when she switched to Independent.
In 2011, she also separated from Arnold Schwarzenegger, former Governor of California, filing for divorce after 25 years of marriage. The divorce was finalized in 2021. And as of this writing, Shriver serves as a “special” correspondent and anchor for NBC News.
