Jennifer Hudson rose to stardom in 2004 as a finalist on Season 3 of “American Idol,” placing seventh. She then debuted in the film industry as Effie White in the 2006 musical “Dreamgirls,” for which she bagged the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress, becoming the youngest African-American to do so in a competitive acting category.
As far as her body transformation, the EGOT winner dropped 80 pounds, going from a size 16 to a 6, according to Hollywood Life. Hudson initially did it through the help of Weight Watchers, shaping up with a svelte body and a revitalized outlook on life.
