Willie Nelson – Age 89
In his early career, Willie Nelson wanted to make a career in the Nashville country scene like every other ambitious musician in the genre. But as he grew up and his sound evolved, he instead became a pioneer of the Outlaw Country sound alongside icons like Kris Kristofferson, Johnny Cash, and Waylon Jennings.
With this musical shift came a style shift which meant doing away with a clean-cut look to become more scruffy and long-haired. Nelson found success with this style and his highly-acclaimed commercially successful albums like Shotgun Willie and Red Headed Stranger. He released his 95th album in 2021 called That’s Life.
