The late 90s teen series Dawson’s Creek gave Katie Holmes a nudge under the spotlight. She had even more success appearing in films like Jack and Jill, Batman Begins, and recently in the 2020 drama The Secret: Dare to Dream.
Holmes has been a victim of being caught up in not-so-flattering moments, but the admirable thing about her at 42 is that she proudly wears her flaws. For instance, in 2015, when she battled cold sores, she didn’t cocoon herself indoors and still went about her usual business. Holmes also isn’t afraid to go bare-faced, giving her daughter Suri a good role model.
