Coming from a family of stars can push you to emulate their success and do better than them, a drive that Joely Fisher seems to have sufficiently channeled to her advantage. She’s followed in the footsteps of her singer father, Eddie Fisher, and the actresses’ mother and half-sister, Connie Stevens and Carrie Fisher. Even better, she’s a dancer, producer, and songwriter.
Fisher broke through in 1994 by starring in “Ellen” and receiving a Golden Globe Award nomination in the process. In 2021, she starred in “Girl in the Basement” and was elected secretary-treasurer of the trade union SAG-AFTRA.
