Gloria Estefan – Age 64
No Latin Pop discography will ever be complete without the records of the Cuban singer Gloria Estefan, who also made a name for herself as an actress and businesswoman. She hit stardom in the mid-’80s after releasing her signature song “Conga,” which remains one of the best-known themes in the Latin-pop genre. Outlets such as La Nación believe it was Estefan’s popularity that allowed singers such as Shakira and Ricky Martin to become famous all over the world.
With three Grammy Awards in the bag, Estefan is still active today and starred in the 2021 animation flick “Vivo” alongside Lin-Manuel Miranda and Zoe Saldana.
