Quincy Jones is a well-known name in the music industry, and he’s perhaps best known for co-producing the late Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” album. He set precedence as the first African American to serve as a conductor and musical director for the 1971 Oscars. The long list of accolades to his name includes becoming a Black Music & Entertainment Walk of Fame inductee in 2021.

Jones has worked on a long list of soundtracks and film scores for productions like “The Italian Job,” “The Hot Rock,” and “The Color Purple.” He also had cameos in several films, including “Sandy Wexler” and “Austin Powers in Goldmember.”
