Kristy McNichol may have already retired in 2001, but she is still beloved by her fans who watched her play roles like Angel in the movie Little Darlings and Barbara Weston in the television sitcom Empty Nest. Her acting skills as Letitia “Buddy” Lawrence in the TV drama Family have even won her two Emmy Awards.
After retiring, McNichol decided to teach acting at a Los Angeles private school and dedicated her time to charitable causes. It was only in 2012 when she declared herself as a lesbian, having lived with her partner Martie Allen since the ’90s.
