Anne Reid – Age 87
Anne Reid fell in love with acting at an early age while attending a boarding school in Wales. Her breakthrough performances as Valerie Barlow in the ’60s soap opera “Coronation Street” and Jean on the ’70s sitcom “Dinnerladies” catapulted her to stardom. She played the lead role for 11 years before leaving the show for a while.
Reid eventually returned to the spotlight in the mid-’80s with appearances in films like “Pat and Margaret,” “Very Huge Very Soon,” and “Lost for Words,” among others. Fast forward to today, and there’s no sign of retirement for Reid, who has been excelling in the industry for seven decades and counting.
