Maggie Gyllenhaal is a descendant of a Swedish noble family of the same surname. However, she was born in Manhattan, New York, and raised in Los Angeles, and grew up to become an actress and film producer with a pretty established career in the entertainment business.
Gyllenhaal found the man of her dreams back in 2002, and it’s none other than Peter Sarsgaard, who also happens to be an actor. They exchanged vows in a small chapel in Brindisi, Italy, and are the parents of two girls. Both are currently occupied with acting work, with Gyllenhaal working on Elvis, and Sarsgaard ready to star in The Batman and Harry Haft.
