Sam Smith is renowned for his power ballades and tear-jerking tone of voice. He came out as gay in 2014 and announced his relationship with actor and model Jonathan Zeizel. The two broke up soon after, and Smith credits his relationship with Zeizel as the inspiration for his four Grammy-winning record Stay With Me.
He ended up dating another actor, this time a more established one in 13 Reason’s Why, actor Brandon Flynn. During his time with Flynn, Smith also came out as Genderqueer, meaning he doesn’t identify as male or female. The relationship with Flynn ended in 2018. His latest album, Love Goes, was released in 2020.
