Ann Sanders began her career with a stint at SAS-7 as a weather presenter. Her work was very popular, enough to win her a Logie Award for Most Popular Female Personality. She went on to join Network Ten and finally found her place at Seven Network in 1988.
She has been responsible for some brave coverage in her career, such as visiting Chernobyl to cover the radiation disaster. She also covered the landslide that occurred at Thredbo in 1997. The coverage of the latter won her another Logie Award. Sanders married Andrew Strokon, an orthopedic surgeon. Together, they have two kids.
