Former MLB catcher Mike Piazza will forever be remembered as a baseball great. Throughout his career, he played for a number of different clubs, but his time with the New York Mets is what really made him famous. Piazza was a home run king who went into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2016.
His walk-off home run in the first game back in New York City following the September 11th attacks will go down in history as one of the city’s most historic moments. He won the only World Series of his career with the New York Mets in 2000.
