Joe Torre

Joe Torre is one of baseball’s top talents. Back in 1960, he debuted as a professional baseball player for the Milwaukee Braves, and from 1961 to 1968. After which, Torre stayed with St. Louis Cardinals until 1974. As a player, he retired in 1977, having last played for the New York Mets.

Torre’s defensive prowess and potent bat earned him widespread acclaim throughout his playing days. With a .297 batting average and 252 home runs, he led the National League that year and was named the league’s Most Valuable Player. He made the All-Star team nine times. After retiring from baseball, Torre managed several clubs to the World Series.
