Gene Hackman (Born in 1930 – San Bernardino)
Despite the man studying Journalism and Television Production, Gene Hackman was dubbed the least likely to succeed in the Pasadena Playhouse. He was determined to prove them wrong and did just that by becoming a Hollywood heavyweight, winning two Oscars, four Golden Globes, and two Baftas.
Hackman earned his accolades by starring in classics and blockbusters like “Bonnie and Clyde,” “The French Connection,” and the western film “Unforgiven.” In the original ” Superman” movie series, he became famous for playing Superman’s arch-nemesis, Lex Luthor. Although he’s already retired, he has also made a name for himself as a novelist.
