Philip Andre ‘Mickey’ Rourke Jr. has followed two career paths‒boxing and acting‒and found success in both. His amateur boxing career began at age 12 when he won his first match as a 112-pound flyweight. From then till 1983, he compiled an impressive record of 27 wins, including a first-round knockout win against John Carver.
Rourke Jr. started acting in the ’70s, landing roles in films like “1941” and “Body Heat.” But when he finally had to decide between a professional boxing career and acting, he chose the former. He made his comeback in the late ’00s, and fans were excited to see him in the 2022 action thriller, “WarHunt.”
