If this picture sums up the definition of car camping, then count us out. Not only does that look uncomfortable, but it’s also dangerous! Just imagine having the worst back pain in the morning. However, we’re not sure why they chose to sleep on top of the vehicle instead of just setting up their tent beside the ride.
This is a far cry from glamorous camping, commonly called glamping, which is a modern take on the traditional hobby. It involves staying in tents or teepees with luxurious amenities aimed at those who want to explore but don’t necessarily want to leave their comfort zone.
