When people plan a family day at the water park, they expect hours spent swimming in the pool and soaking up some sun. That’s what Missouri mom Madelyn Sheaffer had in mind when she went to a local water park with her family in 2013.
So, she was caught off-guard when the relaxing day she envisioned turned into a humiliating one. And it was all because of the swimsuit she was wearing. Not one to take things lying down, Sheaffer shocked everyone with a comeback nobody expected and taught them an important lesson about judging a person by their looks.
It Started As An Innocent Family Outing
Sheaffer is one confident woman. She isn’t afraid to show off her curves, and with good reason. Already in her early 40s at the time, she looked good, and she knew it. And what better way to flaunt her hard work than wearing a bikini to go swimming?
The bad news was that the staff of Adventure Oasis Water Park in Independence, Missouri took offense to that. They didn’t mince words and told Sheaffer what they thought about her choice of swimwear. What they didn’t know was that there was more to her actions than simply wanting to flaunt her body.
