Eileen Derbyshire – Emily Bishop, Coronation Street
While she hasn’t appeared in a Coronation Street episode since 2019, Eileen Derbyshire is still technically a part of the TV family. In fact, she was expected to return in December 2020 and reprise her role as Emily Bishop in time for the soap opera’s 60th anniversary.
She wasn’t able to come back, but the producers say that she’s free to return any time. Derbyshire is said to be the longest-serving female cast member in the program, which has been a big part of her life since the ‘60s. In fact, it is one of the only two acting credits she has under her name.
