Ioan Gruffudd – Gareth Wyn Harries, Pobol Y Cwm
While still studying, Ioan Gruffudd was already acting as Gareth Wyn Harries in the Welsh soap opera Pobol y Cwm in the ’90s. Since, he has come a long way and has, in fact, successfully entered Hollywood, appearing in the highly acclaimed film Titanic and lending his voice to animated shows American Dad and Family Guy.
Despite his success, Gruffudd doesn’t forget where he has come from. In 2014, he sent the show a message for its 40th anniversary. Recently, however, the 47-year-old star is making the headlines for his strained relationship with his wife Alice Evans after he filed for divorce in March 2021.
