Sammy Winward – Katie Sugden, Emmerdale
Sammy Winward joined the Emmerdale crew when she was just 15 years old to play a fresh-faced Katie Sugden in 2001. Within five years, her stardom had risen, and she participated in the singing competition Soapstar Superstar and was ranked number 73 in FHM’s 100 S*xiest Women in the World in 2006.
She spent 15 years in Emmerdale, only taking a short hiatus to have her daughter Mia. But eventually, they killed off her character, and she went on to have short roles in a show like Prey on ITV and a miniseries called Fearless. She last featured as herself in a miniseries called Emmerdale Family Trees.
