Michelle Ryan – Zoe Slater, EastEnders
Michelle Ryan saw her EastEnder character Zoe Slater go through a lot during her early ’00s stint on the soap opera. Audiences saw the young woman fall pregnant with the child of a much older man and find out who her birth mother actually is.
While Ryan’s character left for Ibiza, she herself moved to the US to further her acting career. This paid off as she bagged a starring role in the American TV series Bionic Woman. She eventually returned to her roots though scoring an appearance on Doctor Who and her own mini-series spinoff in 2018 with Lady Christina.
