Forest Whitaker is easily one of the best actors of his generation. He has a great ability to portray sentiment and give his characters the most realistic feel. In the 2006 movie adaptation of the novel The Last King of Scotland, he portrayed Uganda’s totalitarian President Idi Amin. His performance earned him an Academy Award and critical acclaim for his very accurate portrayal. His co-star James McAvoy’s performance as his personal doctor was also very well-received. This great cast made it a very powerful movie. Whitaker is currently developing a project with Netflix titled Hello, Universe.
