Sometimes, the scandal is not even over but the movie is already being made. This was almost the case with Snowden. The movie focused on Edward Snowden, a whistleblower who let the American people know one of the best-kept secrets. The National Security Agency was actually spying on American citizens, which caused a lot of controversy at the time.
Gordon-Levitt’s portrayal of Snowden was critically acclaimed; however, the movie did not reach huge success money-wise. Joseph’s newest project, titled 7500, was presented at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2019. He also has another, untitled film project in post-production.
