For example, even though drones can take spectacular pictures of an erupting volcano, they can’t analyze their behavior. For that, a volcanologist is needed, just like the one in the above picture.
A YouTube video that shows how this volcano in Vanuatu island erupts has been shot using drones after two failed attempts. Those two drones crashed while shooting due to extreme temperatures near the volcano. Still, Sam Cossman, the drone operator, and his team managed to get the necessary information so that scientists can understand volcanoes better.
