Airport Pictures That Show Just How Crazy These Places Can Be

Penguins Crossing Borders For A Safe Haven

Humboldt penguins are a species of penguins found in South America but have been classified as endangered due to human activity, rat infestations, and weather conditions. This photo shows two of them checking in at an airport after being rescued by animal conservationists. The two penguins were going to an island off the coast of Port Elizabeth in South Africa to be in a safe environment.

This airline should be applauded for taking on the responsibility and effort needed to transfer these creatures to a place where they can be safe. The population of these penguins is decreasing, but their safety is of utmost importance.
