Airport Pictures That Show Just How Crazy These Places Can Be

A K-9 Is Cooler Than All Of Us Combined

Michigan’s Cherry Capital Airport staff faced an unexpected challenge when dealing with their workflow—wildlife. With the ever-looming threat of birds interrupting the airport’s daily operations, they took an innovative approach to the problem.

Instead of relying on humans to scare away the wild animals, they hired a K-9 Wildlife Control Officer, Piper, to handle the problem. After three years of service, the pup had successfully scared away his 8,367th and last bird in January 2018. He will always be remembered fondly by the staff at the airport for his dedication and hard work in protecting their workflow from the threat of wildlife.
