Airport Pictures That Show Just How Crazy These Places Can Be

These Suitcase Art Installations Are Unbelievable

Have you ever heard of the monstrous baggage towers at the Sacramento International Airport? Believe it or not, they do exist! The “Samson” structures were designed by Brian Goggin in 1998 and stands at a whopping 23 feet tall. It is based on the white luggage carts that baggage handlers use to transport suitcases, and it looks like it supports the airport roof.

Suppose you’re ever at this airport after a long flight. In that case, there’s no need to panic when you see the pillars made from 700 pieces of luggage climbing to the ceiling. Rest assured, it is a fantastic sight and an incredible attraction at the airport.
