Diva Plavalaguna is an alien character in the film The Fifth Element. It is a 1997 English language French science-fiction action film, in which Maïwenn Le Besco played the role of Diva Plavalaguna. Just like most sci-fi productions, costumes and makeup played a vital part in this film as well.
Among all other characters, Besco’s character had the most complicated makeup, which supposedly took several hours to complete. Well, when all was said and done, all efforts paid off because The Fifth Element became a box office hit and Besco’s most internationally watched film. Props to her as she worked on it while going through a divorce.
