In every film we see Johnny Depp, he is entirely somebody else, and we love it! One such production was Alice in Wonderland, which was one of the most successful movies in the American film industry, exceeding one billion at the box office. Its lead role, Tarrant Hightopp, a.k.a Mad Hatter, was brought to life by Depp.
Depp’s transformation was whimsical, and the credits go to Patty York and Valli O’Reilly, who won the Oscar for the best makeup. O’Reilly applied the sketches made by Depp to capture the features and mood. Somehow they nailed the character, which was possibly the main reason for the success of this movie.
