Eddie Redmayne As Lili Elbe
Since 2016, we have seen the 38-year-old British actor Eddie Redmayne play Newt Scamander’s character in the Fantastic Beasts films. Before portraying a wizard, he played the role of Lili Elbe, a transgender artist, in The Danish Girl in 2015, for which he received an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor.
Just as the name suggests, Redmayne had to play a girl in the film. He brought the character to life so well with the costume and makeup artists’ help, who picked his wig and clothes perfectly. Redmayne is currently busy filming the third Fantastic Beasts movie and will also play Charlie Cullen in The Good Nurse.
