The Joker was the last role Heath Ledger played before he passed away from drug intoxication at just 28 years of age. The film with the character, The Dark Knight, was released posthumously, and fans were emotional as they watched the psychopathic criminal mastermind in action.
Someone who didn’t know that Ledger was in the cast; would never have guessed that he was The Joker because of all the makeup and the change in hairstyle. If you think that the artist did a lousy job because of all the lines and missed spots, you are wrong. John Caglione Jr. did it intentionally and even earned an Oscar nomination for it.
