Delphine Cheneac is a prolific actress on the french movie scene. But only ever got one nod on the American scene, but it was a pretty iconic one in the sci-fi horror film Splice. Cheneac played the genetic hybrid lifeform named Dren.
She had to go through a pretty grueling transformation to become the character, the least of which was actually shaving her hair for the role. Cheneac also had a lengthy makeup session to create her wider eyes and smooth complexion. But for her trouble, her contribution earned the film positive reviews and won the Telefilm Golden Box Office Award for being the highest-grossing Canadian film in 2010.
