Remember when he said that Rory McCann played The Hound for all eight seasons of Game Of Thrones, we missed the part where he wasn’t around for season five. It was all Gwendoline Christie’s fault, or at least her character Brienne of Tarth’s fault.
The character famously defeated the hound in combat, sending him to his apparent death, although later, that was found to be untrue. She was also another difficult to cast character since her description was very in-depth. Christie never had freckles, big lips, or a crooked nose. Despite this, Christie leaned on the character’s size and manliness to create her own version.
