Rory McCann As Sandor “The Hound” Clegane
Casting for Sandor Clegane must’ve been a huge challenge for the showrunners of Game Of Thrones. The description for the character based on the source material was extremely ugly, which, believe it or not, is difficult to find in a real actor.
So instead, the team went with an actually talented actor, who they could make extremely ugly, hence why Rory McCann landed the role. Although they didn’t manage to get the ugly right, they did create the character perfectly, burn scars and all. McCann played Clegane through the eight seasons of the show, which is better than the character’s brother, The Mountain, played by three actors.
