Having built a career playing the object of everyone’s attention in films like the mask and There’s Something About Mary, Cameron Diaz became the object of many fan’s affection too. But she broke her own mold when she took the role of Lotte Schwartz in the film Being John Malkovich.
The role was a complete departure from the slim, slick, and beautiful woman she usually plays. Instead, becoming a character that is natural and unkempt, with minimal makeup and a conservative style. Even the makeup artist for Diaz described transforming her into the character as a challenge. Diaz retired from acting and recently had her first child with Benji Madden.
