Patricia Arquette was on track to lose the extra pounds after her weight gain for her award-winning role in the show Escape at Dannemora. She had to pause on that when she took on 2019’s The Act, where she plays the real-life murder victim Dee Dee Blanchard.
While the character’s physical demands scared her initially, Arquette pushed through due to the interesting material at hand. Dee Dee, who was killed on the alleged orders of her own daughter Gypsy, tricked people for years, saying that her child had a long list of illnesses that were discovered to be false.
