A Mysterious Island Is Found And Censored In Google Maps – And No One Has Any Idea What It Is
Trees as Notorious Bird Killers
Pisonia trees are abundant on Vostok Island as they are found chiefly in tropical areas. They are nicknamed bird-catchers because of how they notoriously trap birds and eventually kill them. According to Amusing Planet, the trees sprout long seeds covered with mucus and hooks that stick to whatever lands on them.
Interestingly, they only blossom twice a year strategically around the same time seabords flock to islands. The flying creatures lay eggs on the branches, and when the eggs hatch, the little birds, unfortunately, get stuck in the thick liquid.
