According to InformationCradle, Australian news presenter Peter Overton gets paid an annual salary of up to $70K. It’s a good wage, but less than we expected considering Overton’s long career in broadcasting and pristine reputation. The host of “Nine News Sydney” has been a TV regular since the early ’90s when he made his debut as a sports journalist.
Born in London, England, Overton moved to Australia with his family at a very young age. In addition to “Nine News Sydney,” he worked in “Nightline” and “60 Minutes.” Married to fellow journalist Jessica Rowe, he portrayed himself in the movies “The Tunnel” and “Pacific Rim Uprising.”
