50 Celebrities Who Prove That Cheerleading Creates Superstars

Halle Berry

After becoming the first African-American woman to receive the Academy Award for Best Actress, the roles started raining in for Halle Berry. One of those roles was in the film Catwoman. The film was a critical and commercial failure, but at least allowed Berry to show off some of her rarely seen cheerleading moves.

She learned those moves while attending Bedford High School in Cleveland, where she cheered and edited the school newspaper. She also entered beauty pageants, culminating in her finishing as the first runner-up in 1986 Miss USA, after winning Miss Teen USA in 1985. She is currently filming an upcoming movie called Moonfall.
