While some did continue to thrive in the entertainment industry, many child stars have chosen to pursue different careers, much like us in the real world. Melissa Gilbert – Continues Acting
Melissa Gilbert is another star from Little House on the Prairie who gave life to one of its main characters, Laura Ingalls. She first appeared on the screen at the age of three but didn’t have her first taste of stardom until being cast in the entire run of the above show.
Through the years, Gilbert struggled with alcohol and drug addiction, which now seems to be under control. Gilbert is now 56 years old and continues to show off her acting skills, having had her latest role as Ruby on When We last Spoke in 2019.
