Michael Jackson’s Biopic is Filled With “Full-Blown Lies,” Daughter Paris Jackson Says

Michael Jackson’s daughter, Paris Jackson, is calling out the upcoming biopic “Michael” for what she says it really is – “full-blown lies.” In a series of blunt and honest statements, Paris has completely distanced herself from the film, saying she had “zero percent involvement” and that the story being told is far from the truth.

The 27-year-old model and actress says her brief involvement with the movie was misunderstood and misrepresented. According to her, Colman Domingo, who plays her grandfather Joe Jackson, was wrong when he said she was “helpful.” The two only spoke twice. That is it!

Paris Says Her Feedback Was Ignored

When Paris Jackson read the draft of “Michael,” she didn’t hold back. She pointed out what she felt was dishonest or just plain wrong. She gave feedback early, hoping the filmmakers would take her words seriously. They didn’t, and the model was disappointed.

Jackson / IG / The final version, the King of Pop’s daughter says, completely ignored her notes. That is when she made a choice to cut ties and step away.

Paris described her decision with a phrase that says it all: “Not my monkeys, not my circus.” She doesn’t want her name tied to it, and she doesn’t want anyone thinking she approved it. Her message is loud and clear. This is not her version of her dad’s story, and she wants no part in shaping a false legacy.

A “Sugar-Coated” Fantasy, Not the Real Michael Jackson

Paris didn’t just criticize “Michael” for ignoring her input. She went deeper. She accused the film of pandering to a section of Michael Jackson’s fanbase that, in her words, “still lives in the fantasy.” She believes the film doesn’t tell the whole story and instead pushes a cleaned-up version that fits a certain narrative.

She also took a swipe at Hollywood as a whole. According to Paris, too many biopics distort the truth and serve up a polished story that fans want to hear, not what really happened. She pointed to “Bohemian Rhapsody” as another example where facts got twisted to fit a feel-good script. Her fear is that “Michael” is headed down the same path.

The Jackson Family Isn’t All on the Same Page

While Paris has made her opinion crystal clear, not everyone in the Jackson family agrees. Her brother Prince has come out in support of the biopic. He’s praised Jaafar Jackson, their cousin, who plays Michael in the film, calling it a “dream come true.” Prince seems excited about the project and trusts the people behind it.

Paris / IG / The biopic is also backed by the Michael Jackson estate, which plays a big role in producing the film. That backing has raised eyebrows.

Critics question how objective a film can be when it is co-produced by the people who stand to profit from Michael Jackson’s legacy. Paris seems to share that concern, which is one more reason she’s stepping back.

“Michael” hasn’t had a smooth ride. The film has faced major delays, mostly tied to reshoots and legal issues. One of the biggest problems? A settlement agreement that blocks any depiction of the 1993 allegations involving Jordan Chandler, who accused Michael Jackson of child molestation.
