Hollywood Stars You Thought Were Long Gone But Are Still Alive Today
The list of celebrities who have entertained us since the Golden and Silver Age of Hollywood is a long one. Through the decades we’ve unfortunately lost some of these stars. However, they all remain permanent fixtures in showbiz through their extensive collection of works.
Several more are still alive and kicking despite perhaps retreating from public life. Some chose to quit the industry that earned them fame, others switched careers, while several more are still going strong working in showbiz. Here’s a list of some of our favorite celebrities who are still alive and aging gracefully.
Paige O’Hara – 66
Paige O’Hara began her career as a Broadway actress in 1983 by starring in “Showboat” and went on to star in other plays like “The Mystery of Edwin Drood” and “Oklahoma!.” In 1995, she joined a production of “Les Miserables,” where she played the character of Fantine.
O’Hara’s most famous work came in the 1991 film, “Beauty and the Beast,” where she voiced the character of the protagonist, Belle. She reprised the part in the subsequent follow-ups, “Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas” and “Belle’s Magical World.” In 2011, she was honored by Disney by being presented with a Disney Legend Award.
