Hollywood Stars You Thought Were Long Gone But Are Still Alive Today
The list of celebrities who have entertained us since the Golden and Silver Age of Hollywood is a long one. Through the decades we’ve unfortunately lost some of these stars. However, they all remain permanent fixtures in showbiz through their extensive collection of works.
Several more are still alive and kicking despite perhaps retreating from public life. Some chose to quit the industry that earned them fame, others switched careers, while several more are still going strong working in showbiz. Here’s a list of some of our favorite celebrities who are still alive and aging gracefully.
Mel Brooks – 96
Mel Brooks, the 2010 Hollywood Walk of Fame star honoree, is a veteran actor, filmmaker, and comedian. He has had a successful career spanning seven decades and is still going strong. Brooks made his debut in the entertainment industry in the ’50s, writing for various comedy shows.
Apart from receiving the 41st AFI Life Achievement Award in June 2013, the legendary comedian and actor has also racked up many accolades to his name, including an Oscar, Tony, Grammy, Emmy, and other awards. Three of Brooks’s films have also been ranked by the American Film Institute. In 2021, the star published his memoir, “All About Me!”
